	I wanted a map of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth to hang up in my office. I searched the internet for a scalable, vector-drawn map to print... finding none, I traced a bitmap map... here it is for your enjoyment! -Chris Taylor- I met Chris through E-mailcontact after finding this site, just like you have. We started writing and found we got along. We both are artists with the difference that I only work in 2D and Chris is able to sculpt things in 3D too! We started to work on the Scalable map together, having the joint interest to create a meticulously detailed, yet fully scalable map of Tolkiens' world: Middle Earth. In october of 2005, Chris wrote to me with the question if I felt like continueing support for the website and the project, because he couldn't find the time to give it the attention it deserved. I agreed and the rest is history. Chris is still active in the project. Keep checking back here regularly because the development of this site and the maps is in motion constantly. More questions?
